Brexit talks suspended after negotiator tested positive for coronavirus

LONDON — Brexit negotiators Michel Barnier and David Frost agreed Thursday to suspend talks “at our level” after an EU negotiator tested positive for coronavirus.

The EU’s chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier announced on Twitter that talks between him and Frost would pause “for a short period,” adding that “the teams will continue their work in full respect of guidelines.” British negotiators are in Brussels this week for intensive negotiations.
